More than 70% of the body’s immune system is produced in the digestive tract and is often referred to as Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue (GALT) which produces and stores the immune cells. The GALT is an important defense for the body against foreign invaders such as bacteria, fungus, parasites, and other pathogens.

Colostrum is also included for its content of immunoglobulin A, providing the mucus immunity where the majority of antibodies are formed. This has an antibacterial effect, modulates the body’s immune response, and has been found to aid in inflammation.

Lastly, Beta Glucan has been added because studies have shown it may enhance specific immune response, having an adjuvant effect for stimulating the antibody response to protein antigens. Beta Glucan particles may also assist cytokine secretion in macrophages, modulating innate and adaptive immunity to assist in fortifying the GALT and healing the digestive system.
