The quercetin in this product has changed to the highly bioavailable quercetin phytosome (quercetin bound to phosphatidylcholine – from sunflower). Bacillus coagulans has been removed from the formula. SlimSweet has been replaced with pure Monk Fruit extract.

Why Rice and Pea Protein?

VegaLite, Thorne's proprietary blend of rice and pea protein, is used in MediClear-SGS. The combination of rice and pea is used because of their low incidence of allergenicity. It is far more likely for dairy or soy protein to initiate an allergic reaction. Using rice and pea proteins eliminates most allergenic proteins from the diet, yet maintains high-quality protein intake.

ALLERGY WARNING
This product is contraindicated in an individual with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.

MediClear-SGS contains green tea phytosome, curcumin phytosome, and grape seed phytosome - plant extracts complexed with phosphatidylcholine, which is derived from soy. Phosphatidylcholine contains no soy protein. There are no other soy-based ingredients in MediClear-SGS.

PURITY
This product does not contain wheat, gluten, corn, yeast, egg, dairy products, or artificial colors, artificial sweeteners, or artificial flavors. This product also does not contain lactose, palmitic acid, magnesium stearate, or stearic acid.

INTERACTIONS
Folinic acid and 5-methyltetrahydrofolate supplementation is not recommended concurrent with methotrexate cancer therapy, as they can interfere with methotrexate's anti-neoplastic activity; however, these folate sources have not been shown to interfere with the anti-inflammatory activity of methotrexate. An individual taking methotrexate for psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis can safely take a supplement containing folate.

Curcumin has been shown to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) in animal studies. In vitro research revealed that curcumin decreased camptothecin-induced death of cultured breast cancer cells. Curcumin might also interfere with the absorption and efficacy of the chemotherapy drug irinotecan, used to treat colon cancer. The concurrent use of curcumin with these agents should be avoided.
