Biofilms are protective encasements formed by microorganisms making them highly resistant to antimicrobials. Ther-Biotic InterFase Plus is a unique enzyme formulation designed to break up the biofilm matrix that embeds the GI organisms along with EDTA to bind biofilm-forming metals.
Ther-Biotic InterFase Plus combines the same unique enzyme formulation found in Ther-Biotic InterFase with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The presence of calcium, iron, and magnesium is essential for biofilm creation and serves to cross-link the anionic regions of polymers. Ther-Biotic® InterFase® Plus includes EDTA which binds the metals needed for biofilm formation. Ther-Biotic InterFase Plus can be used for maximum antibiofilm activity.
